Meet the Team

Claire Turner (MA, CIHCM)

Director of Landlord Letting Network

Claire has worked within the housing benefit system for over 30 years, holding a number of senior posts including Housing Benefit Manager, Assistant Recovery Manager (Sheffield Homes) and Head of Network Services at a large housing consultancy company.  Claire has an MA in housing policy and practice, is a Corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and until recently was a board member of Sheffield Credit Union.  She has extensive knowledge of Welfare Reform, delivering training courses and events for both social and private sector landlords and in developing stratergies for landlords to minimise the impact of these reforms.  Claire aims to maximise income and minimise arrears and she is a UK renowned tenancy sustainment expert.

In addition to Social Housing, Claire also has experience in Private Sector Housing and over the years has successfully developed and managed her own property portfolio.

Liz Poxon (MARLA)

Director of Landlord Letting Network 

Liz has worked within housing benefits and the social housing sector for over 21 years. Her roles have included: 

Trainer and Lead Associate for Landlord Information Network - Developing and delivering training on welfare benefits and rental income maximisation, to both private and social sector landlords.

Housing Co-ordinator for Sheffield Homes Income Management Unit - Managing a team of staff responsible for rent collection and supporting tenants with complex housing benefit issues.

Other senior roles within the Social housing/housing benefit service - Requiring an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the complex housing benefit and Local Housing Allowance regulations in order to maximise rental income, minimise rent arrears and support tenants to sustain long-term tenancies. 

 In addition to Social Housing, Liz also has experience in  private sector housing and over the years has successfully developed and managed her own property portfolio.


Sam Turner

Sam Turner provides administration and IT support for Landlord Letting Network. Sam works on a part-time basis at Landlord Letting Network as he is currently studying A levels in maths, further maths, history and business studies and economics at Dronfield Henry Fanshawe school.

Sam has previously had work experience at William lee foundry in Dronfield and as an electricians mate for Earth Electrical Response Ltd. After his A levels Sam is hoping to study maths at university.

Tom Ward

Tom Ward provides administration and IT support for Landlord Letting Network. Tom works on a part-time basis for Landlord Letting Network as he is currently studying A level in maths, history, business studies and economics and computing at Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School.

Tom has previously had work experience at HSBC bank in Sheffield in a variety of job roles all based around IT. After completing his A levels, Tom hopes to go to university to continue his studies.

Adrian Harris

Adrian Harris provides Website Support and Web Development Services for Landlord Letting Network on an on-going basis through his company Web Horizons.

Based in the Sheffield area, Adrian and his team have worked closely with Landlord Letting Network to provide a website which is both easy to use and accessible, whilst also developing an administrative platform behind it to help ease the burden of managing events, training and member services

Charlie Stephenson

Charlie Stephenson provides IT Support and IT Development Services for Landlord Letting Network on an on-going basis through his company CTS PC Solutions. Charlie is an IT engineer with many years of experience in both business industry including supporting small to medium sized businesses and the general public with their IT issues. Charlie’s primary line of expertise is networking, trouble-shooting, server support, hardware/software support and general IT support for end users – and his by-line is ‘I refuse to be beaten’!

Julie Sugden

Director of Landlord Letting Network

Julie has worked in finance sales and debt recovery for over 25 years having hands on administration, customer service and staff management experience. 

Julie has spent much of her time carrying out affordability assessments, home visits, payment collections and debt recovery in addition to working in finance as an accounts and HR assistant in a busy credit control environment.

Julie also has experience in  private sector housing, successfully developing and managing her own property portfolio
